Skin Rejuvenation

The prospect of a treatment to make skin look healthier and younger as well as reversing damage to skin from general ageing or the sun has a irresistible appeal. Treatments for skin conditions such
  • Wrinkles
  • Fine Lines
  • Acne
  • Scars
  • Ageing
  • Sun Damage
  • Pigmentation
  • Sagging skin
were limited to traditional resurfacing procedures such as deep peels and dermabrasion until the introduction of Er:YAG laser and fractional treatments. The traditional methods for skin rejuvenation means the whole skins surface was treated removing the upper layer to reveal a fresher, younger skin beneath. Fractional treatments has in some ways superseded this method as a fractional treatment only treats the damaged area leaving the uninjured skin to act as a barrier promoting quicker healing and faster recovery.

Fractional Skin rejuvenation

This treats only the injured skin and leaves the healthy uninjured skin to act as a barrier around the treatment site promoting quicker healing and faster recovery. The fractional approach uses microscopic laser beams the width of a hair to penetrate into the affected area leaving the area around mainly untouched. The nearby cells that are not damaged are able to move into the microscopic channels created by the laser promoting rapid healing. This stimulated response leads to the formation of new collagen in the treated area as well as having a tightening effect on the collagen from the laser energy resulting in smoother skin

Tradition rejuvenation

A non-fractional approach means the entire skin surface is removed to reveal a fresher more youthful skin beneath. This means 7-10 days of intensive after-care to avoid infection and you can expect the skin to be red and swollen and run the risk of pigmentation

  • Heat - controlled by a cooler over the skin during treatment

  • Dryness of the skin- treated by moisturizer
  • Pigmentation (not common)
